Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 remains at the top of the U.S. box office after taking a staggering $76 million in it's second weekend on release.

In the fortnight that the movie has been out the film has so far grossed in excess of $608 million at the global box office.

And while Deathly Hallows has dominated the box office worldwide Tangled, which is the new movie from Disney, was not to far behind the boy wizard.

The movie, which sees Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi lend their voices, took $69 million in it's opening weekend to open at number two.

The long-haired Princess Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but when she falls in love with a bandit who was passing by she must venture into the outside world for the first time to find him.

Megamind fell a single place from two to this week's number three while Burlesque was the second new entry inside the top ten.

The movie marks the big screen debut of Christina Aguilera as she teams up with Cher and Stanley Tucci.

Unstoppable, which sees Denzel Washington return to the big screen, drops two places to round off the top five.

Love and Other Drugs, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway reuniting for the first time since Brokeback Mountain, was new in at seven while Faster, which stars Dwayne Johnson was new at seven.

This week's biggest fallers came in the form of Due Date, The Next Three Days and Morning Glory as they all dropped four places to finish the week at eight, nine and ten.
