Hilary Duff has received $100,000 (£62,500) from bosses behind the upcoming Bonnie & Clyde movie, despite chiefs axing her from the film.

The star was reportedly dumped from the project in May (11) but she insisted the story was false and she would still be playing notorious bank robber Bonnie Parker on the big screen.

Earlier this month (Aug11) it emerged Duff, who recently announced her pregnancy, has officially been dropped from the movie.

But the singer/actress will still be paid by the producers of The Story of Bonnie & Clyde - she's reportedly received $100,000 (£62,500) as part of a severance deal, according to TMZ.com.

Duff reportedly signed a contract which meant she would be compensated with the sum whether she appeared in the film or not.

The star tells the website, "I dont wanna give them any more press than they've already gotten off me... I think (my) baby is a little bit more exciting."
