Hugh Grant has revealed that there is not yet a completed script for Bridget Jones 3.

The actor reveals that he has enjoyed playing the role of Daniel Cleaver in the two previous movie but neither he, Renee Zellweger or Colin Firth have signed up for the third movie.

Speaking to Total Film the actor said: "I did like playing Daniel Cleaver in both films, but there is no definite part three.

"None of the three of us have signed up for it yet. There's been a number of drafts that have had great things in them but haven't quite hit the bullseye. It's just that it does have to be significantly reinvented.

"I don't think that you could pretend that it's a year after the end of the last one because we look f*****g ancient now, all three of us."

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason was released back in 2004, three years after the original, both enjoying box office success.

But Grant is back on the big screen this week, well his voice is at least, with The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists, the latest project from Aardman.

The Notting Hill star is set to voice the Pirate Captain with the likes of David Tennant and Salma Hayek also on board.

The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists is released 30th March.
