Idris Elba says that he would like to get to know the character of Heimdall a little better in Thor 2.
The actor has revealed that he will be returning to the role for the sequel, which is set to start shooting later this year.
And while he admits that he has not yet seen a script for the movie he would to see his character developed a little more.
Speaking to Collider the actor said: I’d just like to get to know him a bit more. Who is Heimdall? He guards the gate. Okay. Is there anything else?
"I don’t know what is in the script because I haven’t read it yet. But, the audience has responded to Asgard and wants to know more about who lives there and what it’s about.
"I’m sure, if they do that, Heimdall will be featured more."
2012 has already been a great year for the actor as he picked up a Golden Globe for his role in Luther during the awards season.
He will be returning to the big screen this summer with Prometheus, which is the latest sci-fi movie from Ridley Scott.
