Inception

Inception has made it a hat trick of weeks at the top of the Australian box office.

Christopher Nolan's epic sci-fi thriller has been one of the critical and commercial hits of the summer and the movie grossed a further $4.1 million to comfortably hold off the challenge from new entry Step Up 3D.

The movie follows a tight-knit group of New York City street dancers, including Luke (Malambri) and Natalie (Vinson), team up with NYU freshman Moose (Sevani), and find themselves pitted against the world's best hip hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever.

There was a once place drop for Killers, Knight & Day and Toy Story 3 as they finished the week at three, four and five to round of this week's top five.
