Isla Fisher

Isla Fisher has called being given the opportunity to work with Baz Luhrmann a 'no-brainer'.

The actress is set to take on the role of Myrtle Wilson in the big screen adaptation of F.Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby - which will see Luhrmann return to the director's chair.

And Fisher admits that Luhrmann is her favourite director and she almost got to film in her home country of Australia.

Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: "That was amazing. An opportunity to work with Baz was a no-brainer.

"Baz is my favourite director, obviously. He's Australian and I love all of his films. So, it was fun. It's just nice to go home to Australia too."

The movie sees Leonardo DiCaprio take on the central role of Jay Gatsby while Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan and Joel Edgerton are all also on the cast list.

But Fisher will be back on the big screen sooner than you think as she has lent her voice to Rise Of The Guardians - which is released this week.

The Great Gatsby is released 17th May 2013.
