James Franco

James Franco

James Franco admits that he is yet to see his new movie The Rise of the Planet of the Apes but believes it could be very different from the original script.

The Oscar nominated actor takes on the role of scientist Will Rodman in the film, his third movie this year, which is a new take on the popular franchise.

But he revealed that the original script was full of character development while the final cut is more of an action movie.

Speaking to Playboy Magazine the actor said: "They haven't shown me the movie yet, so I don't know what the result is.

"I did reshoots, and it sounds to me the final movie will be different from the screenplay, which had a lot of character development.

"The movie seems to be more action now. I went and did my job, and I'm supposed to be a scientist. I feel pretty confident that I did that."

Franco has enjoyed huge success this year with 127 Hours, for which he received a Best actor Oscar nomination, before going into comedy Your Highness.

He has already completed work on Maladies and The Stare.

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes is released 12th August.
