Jamie Bell has heaped praise in the way that The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn is looking.

The Steven Spielberg project is set to hit the big screen this autumn - with Bell voicing the title character.

The movie has been shot using motion capture before going to Weta Digital to be worked on in post production.

And Bell has seen some of the movie and has revealed that the motion capture is looking better than ever.

Speaking to ING the actor said: "It's never looked this good before. I don't think motion-capture has ever met with the right material yet, and Tintin is perfect because we needed control of the world.

"The story really spans across many different landscapes. At one point we're in the middle of the ocean and then there's a sequence set in the desert, there's an airplane sequence in it, which is very exciting and fantastical.

"And this is all stuff from the book, so to the fans who know it, they'll know what I'm talking about."

Bell returned to the big screen this weekend with his new movie The Eagle, which saw him team up with Channing Tatum.

He has a busy year as he is also set to star in Jane Eyre as well as Stainless Steel and Retreat.

The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn is released 26th October.
