Jamie Lee Curtis plans to retire rather than try to stay looking young.
The actress admits that she has no desire to go under the knife to turn back time and try and compete with the younger actresses.
Speaking to AARP magazine the actress said: "There are people who, when you see them on the screen, there's an audible gasp of 'Oh my God'.
"They look terrible - or they've done something to themselves and now look like freaks."
But Curtis has heaped praise on Meryl Streep and Sigourney Weaver for not succumbing to that pressure and continuing to take on major leading roles.
"Then there are people who age beautifully. There is one Meryl Streep and one Sigourney Weaver.
"But I could name 30 other actresses in their [age] groups who aren't working today. Me, I'm getting my ass out of this business in a few years because genetically it's not going to work for me."
The actress is back on the big screen later this year with You Again, which sees her work with Weaver and Kristen Bell.
