Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she is excited about The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and she is looking forward to working with new director Francis Lawrence.

The Oscar nominated actress is set to reprise the role of Katniss Everdeen in the sequel to the 2012 box office smash.

Filming is expected to get underway later this year and Lawrence is looking forward to returning to the franchise.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times the actress said: "The new movie will be very real, which is what I'm excited about," Jennifer told the Los Angeles Times.

"I really like [Francis's] take, which is a lot of what I liked in Gary Ross. It's the realistic grasp of the story instead of all the details of the imaginary things. He's not trying to reinvent anything."

Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson will also be reprising the role of Gale and Peeta in the new movie but new roles such asFinnick Odair and Johanna Mason are yet to be cast.

But before Catching Fire we are going to be seeing plenty of Lawrence on the big screen as she is set to star in House at the End of the Street, Silver Linings Playbook and Serena.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is expected to hit the big screen in November 2013.
