Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she found her Oscar nomination stressful - but also called it 'surreal' and 'bizarre.'

The actress picked up her first Oscar nod for her breakthrough performance in Winter's Bone - a movie that put her on everyone's radar.

Since then she has seen her career take off and can currently be seen taking on the role of Mystique in X-Men: First Class.

Speaking to Marie Claire the actress said: "Oscar season was surreal and bizarre. It's the biggest thing that can happen to an actress and then it's also... they call your name on the news at 5 o'clock in the morning and it's not your life anymore.

"The Oscars itself was the most fun but all those shows leading up to it had so much stress. Like this dress and that dress...

"I felt like a politician on a campaign trail."

The actress has already completed work on House at the End of the Street and she is currently filming The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games sees her take on the role of Katniss Everdeen as the Suzanne Collins novel is adapted for the big screen.
