Jude Law has revealed that he felt humbled to help Terry Gilliam complete The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus for Heath Ledger.

The actor stepped in, alongside Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell, after the death of Ledger nearly two years ago in a bid to finish the movie in his memory.

In an interview with the People the actor said: I liked Heath very much as a man and admired him as an actor. To help finish his final piece of work was a tribute I felt compelled to make“.

"To help Terry [Gilliam] finish his film was an honour paid to a man I adore. Though we were all there in remembrance, Heath's heart pushed us with great lightness to the finish."

Ledger passed away during the filming of the movie from an overdose on medication at the age of just twenty eight.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was released in the UK back in October and was the last big screen performance from the star.

It’s been a fairly quite movie year for law but he returns to the big screen this week with Guy Ritchie’s version of Sherlock Holmes taking on the role of Watson.
