Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio is set to take on the role of J. Edgar Hoover in a new movie.

The actor will take on the role of the Hoover, who was the very first FBI director, in a biopic picture that will be directed by Oscar winning actor and filmmaker Clint Eastwood.

The script has been penned by Dustin Lance Black, who wrote Milk twelve months ago, and will also see Brian Grazer and Rob Lorenz on board to produce.

The film will be the first time that Eastwood and DiCaprio have worked together and filming is expected to get underway later this year.

DiCaprio has already enjoyed box office success earlier this year when he reunited with Martin Scorsese on Shutter Island, and he will be back on the big screen this summer with Inception; the latest movie from Christopher Nolan.

He is also attached to projects Prisoners and The Low Dwellers.

Eastwood was last seen behind the camera with Nelson Mandela movie Invictus. He will reunite with Matt Damon for his new movie Hereafter, which is due out later this year.
