Liev Schreiber is returning to the small screen - he's landed the lead role in a new TV drama.
The Salt star will play the title character in Ray Donovan, about a professional 'fixer' for Los Angeles' rich and famous who struggles to deal with his own family troubles.
Production for the Showtime network programme is expected to begin early next year (12), reports industry paper Daily Variety.
Schreiber, the partner of actress Naomi Watts, has made a handful of TV dramas over the years and last appeared in episodes of hit crime series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2007.
We haven't seen Schreiber on the big screen since he teamed up with Angeling Jolie for Salt - but he will be back in the new year with Goon.
He has also completed work on Movie 43, Mental and Robot and Frank - he is currently working on The Reluctant Fundamentalist.
