Luke Evans has described The Hobbit cast as 'a family'.
Evans is set to play Bard the Bowman in the Peter Jackson directed movie - shooting is underway in New Zealand as we speak.
And the actor admits that all the cast have banded together and are getting along well.
Speaking to MTV Movie News the actor said: "The thing is, I've done about 10 percent of what I'm going to be doing, shoot-wise, so I can't really say, but the cast are fantastic.
"We're so far away from home. We have a little family. Peter [Jackson] and the team create a very warm atmosphere on set and off set.
"We all socialize, it's really special. I just feel very lucky to be a part of it."
It has been a busy year for the actor who has already starred in Blitz and The Three Musketeers.
He returns to the big screen next week with his new movie Immortals, in which he plays Zeus, and he has completed work on No One lIves, Ashes and The Raven.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is released 14th December 2012.
