Mark Ruffalo

Mark Ruffalo has described the latest depiction of the Hulk as 'more accessible'.

The Oscar nominated actor takes over the role of Bruce Banner in Avengers Assemble for the very first time.

And Ruffalo, who played both character of Banner and the Hulk in the movie, describes the character as tired of running from the world.

Speaking to MTV the actor said: "I just think it's a natural progression of the other performances. When you find the guy at this point, he's tired of running. He's got a wry sense of humour about himself.

"He's ready to turn and face the world. He's got a charming world-weariness that's kind of knocked the edges off of him and made him slightly more accessible."

Avengers Assemble has enjoyed a huge opening weekend internationally with both critical and commercial success - the film opens in the U.S. this weekend.

Avengers Assemble is out now.
