Mark Ruffalo has revealed that The Avengers will not be filmed in 3D.
The Oscar nominated actor is set to take on the role of the Hulk for the very first time in the Joss Whedon directed project.
Posting on Twitter Ruffalo said: "Avengers is not being shot in 3D,"
The film sees the Marvel heroes bad together and Ruffalo will be joined by Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth as they reprise the roles of Iron Man, Captain America and Thor.
And while Evans and Hemsworth are busting a gut in the gym to get into shape Ruffalo doesn't need to do any work as CGI is set to get the actor in shape.
"Evans and Hemsworth are jealous that I am that ripped and didn't have to go to the gym. It ain't fair,"
Ruffalo is set to be back on the big screen later this year with new movie Margaret, which also stars Anna Paquin and Matt Damon.
The Avengers is set for a May 2012 release.
