Noomi Rapace admits that her preparation for her latest film Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was a little extreme.
The actress stars in the central role of adaptation of the popular Stieg Larsson novel and reveals that the husband bore the brunt of her bad temper.
Speaking to Empire the actress said: For me to prepare for the role I had to change my whole appearance. I cut my hair, got real piercings and took up kick boxing.
"My curves and boobs they all went. And I became really withdrawn and moody.
"My husband would say, 'You don't let me in anymore. You don't talk to me.' I'd say 'Fuck off! Leave me alone.'
"Eventually he said 'Noomi this has to stop - it's like living with a teenage boy.'"
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is out in cinemas now.
