Parker Posey has reportedly turned down a lifetime achievement award
The actress was set to receive the award from the Florida film festival but it is believed that she was concerned that she is too young to receive the honor.
The Dazed and Confused star, 42, was set to receive the top prize at the Jacksonville Film Festival this month (Oct11), but she is said to have politely declined the award due to her age, according to the New York Post's gossip column PageSix.
The publication reports Posey told festival bosses she is "too young" for the trophy.
Most recently the actress has switched the big screen for TV with roles in The Big C and The Good Wife.
But she has completed work on a series of movies with Price Checkm Sunny Side Up and Highland Park all due for release.
