Patrick Wilson has revealed that he is keen to see the Superman script as he wants to work with filmmaker Zak Snyder once again.

The pair teamed up for Watchmen last year and Wilson wants to reunite with the director possibly on the reboot of the Superman franchise.

Speaking to Movieweb he said: "When I heard he signed on I called one of my agents and said that I hadn't talked to Zack or anything but that I just wanted to read it.

"I don't even care if I'm right for anything, I just want to know what he's doing."

The movie is set to be produced by Christopher Nolan and the script is being penned by David Goyer. No actor has been linked to the role of the Man of Steel, last played by Brandon Routh.

When asked would he like to take over from Routh he said: "Oh man, who knows? I love seeing all the Jon Hamm comments and Jon is like, 'What? I'm over forty, this is ridiculous.' So I don’t know. That is such a big thing, who knows?

"I remember when Watchmen came around I didn't think I was really age appropriate or right for that but then when I jumped into it I was able to make it work. So who knows? I would be happy to do anything with Zack again."

The actor is currently working on Young Adult with Charlize Theron and has completed work on The Ledge, which also stars Liv Tyler.
