Penelope Cruz Nearly Fainted After Oscar Winner

Penelope Cruz admitted that she almost fainted when she won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar earlier this year.

The actress starred in Woody Allen’s comedy Vicky Cristina Barcelona and was the toast of the awards season with her performance.

In an interview with The Times: "I feel frustrated that I can't remember, because it was beautiful how your family and your people can feel so happy for you.

"I felt I was on the border of passing out from tension. That I can remember very well."

"I remember thinking, 'What am I doing here? How did this happen?'" she said.

And Cruz could repeat that feat at the 2010 ceremony for her performance in musical Nine, which is already getting some award recognition.

She was nominated for a Supporting Actress Satellite Award for her role in the movie when Nine bagged eleven nominations.
