Ralph Fiennes, Colin Firth, Gary Oldman and Michael Fassbender are teaming up to bring author John le Carre's 1974 espionage thriller Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy to the big screen.
 
The four stars have signed on to the Tomas Alfredson film, about a hunt for spies within the highest ranks of the British Secret Intelligence Service after the Cold War.
 
Le Carre's novel was previously turned into a U.K. TV series starring Sir Alec Guinness.
 
It will be the first English language movie for Alfredson, who was behind last year's vampire movie Let the Right One In.

Peter Morgan, the man who worte Frost/Nixon and The Queen, is believed to be penning the script.

Production will begin in London in October (10), reports industry paper Daily Variety.
