Robert Downey Jr has admitted that he enjoys working with his producer wife Susan.
The pair team up again for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, in which Downey Jr reprises his role as the super sleuth.
Susan Downey is once again on producing duties for the Guy Ritchie project, she also worked on the first movie in the series.
Speaking to The Press Association the actor said: "The Mrs and I, we're buddies. We'd rather work together than not work together.
"But when you're married to someone who's central on a production, you have to make sure that anyone who's part of that experience doesn't wish that the two of you would stop working together immediately.
"It puts a lot of responsibility on making the relationship healthy, which is good."
Downey Jr will be back on the big screen next summer when he reprises another role, that of Tony Stark, in The Avengers.
The actor will be joined by Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo as Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Hulk come together to defeat evil.
