Roger Moore

Roger Moore

Roger Moore has called Daniel Craig 'the best Bond'.

Moore took on the role of Bond from 1973 to 1985 - going on to appear in seven movies - but it seems that Craig is a fave of the actor.

In his new book "Bond on Bond," he writes, "I loved 'Casino Royale' and Daniel Craig. He is a wonderful actor, certainly the best actor to play Bond. (He has) the best build of any Bond."

Craig took over the role of 007 in 2005 and it about to star in his third movie Skyfall later this year.

And Moore went on to talk about the new movie, which will be directed by Sam Mendes: "I believe that Skyfall is going to have a lot more humour in it than Quantum of Solace did, something I’ll be pleased to see."

Skyfall will be the first Bond movie that Oscar winning Mendes has directed as he reunites with Craig for the first time since Road To Perdition.

Skyfall is released 26th October.
