Rupert Grint has revealed that shooting Quidditch scenes for the Harry Potter are painful.

The actor takes on the role of Ron Weasley in the series of movies, with Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince out later this summer, and was upset that Ron's big moment in Order of the Phoenix was cut from the movie.

In an interview with MTV he said: "I was actually really gutted last year because that is sort of Ron's big Quidditch moment and I was really upset they didn't have that in [Order of the Phoenix]."

"I was really looking forward to doing it this time, but it's actually sort of an anti-climax because it's really hard work.

"You're on a broom for a long time, like a few hours at a go. You're literally sitting on a broom and it gets a little bit sore down under a bit. It's been fun, but it's quite hard work."

Half Blood Prince is the penultimate story in the Harry Potter saga but the final instalment, Deathly Hallows, will be split into two movies released in 2010 and 2011.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is released 15th July.
