Ryan Gosling is in talks to revamp sci-fi movie and TV series Logan’s Run for the big screen.
The Notebook star will reportedly play the lead in the much-hyped movie, which is set in the year 2116.
Nicholas Winding Refn is onboard to direct, according to Deadline.com. Production is set to start in the autumn (11).
The original 1976 film starred Michael York as Logan, with Gregory Harrison taking on the character for the spin-off TV series in 1977.
Gosling was last seen on the big screen in Blue Valentine - which saw him star alongside Michelle Williams.
The actor picked up a Golden Globe nomination for his performance and has plenty of other work in the pipeline.
The actor has already completed work on Crazy, Stupid, Love and Drive and is set to star in The Ideas of March.
