Sarah Jessica Parker's Writing Belief

Sarah Jessica Parker believes that it's the writing that has made Sex and the City so successful.

The actress is back on the big screen in Sex and the City 2, along with Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon two years after they made their movie debut.

And the four friends, Carrie, Sam, Charlotte and Miranda, remain as popular now with the fans as they did when they enjoyed TV success.

Speaking to Digital Spy Parker said: "I'm not entirely certain, but I will say that good writing goes a long way.

"When somebody tells stories well and tells them in a compelling way, about people you may or may not like, but are interesting and complicated - perhaps different than you've seen in the past - maybe it's arresting in its own unique way."

Sex and the City 2 is just the first movie of the year for Parker, last seen in Did You Hear About The Morgans?

But the actress has been linked to projects The Ivy Chronicles and A Family Affair.
