Taylor Kitsch has revealed that there are currently no plans for a Gambit spin off movie.
The actor took on the role of Gambit, who we saw for the very first time, in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and there had been talk of a solo movie.
And while there are currently no plans in the pipeline the actors hopes that they will come further down the line.
Speaking to ComingSoon the actor said: "There were strong rumours a while ago, but I haven't heard or seen anything tangible anyways," he told the website.
"I know if we do it, it'll probably be down the road and we'll do it hopefully a lot darker.
"I'd love to play him again, but it's a matter of doing it right, too. There's no point in just doing it for the sake of doing it.
"You gotta kill if you're going to do it, so we'll see."
Despite not reprising the role of Gambit just yet Kitsch has completed work on Jon Carter of Mars, which also stars Ciaran Hinds and Mark Strong, and Battleship.
