Hollywood heartthrob Taylor Lautner (The Twilight Saga) and newcomer Lily Collins (The Blind Side) have been talking to education charity FILMCLUB about their new action-packed film Abduction - which is showing in UK cinemas now.

The thriller = which also stars Jason Isaacs, Alfred Molina and Sigourney Weaver - is Lautner’s first major role outside of The Twilight Saga, and he told the charity about his character, Nathan; "Yes, Nathan is an average high-schooler who seems to be living a normal life until he finds a picture of himself on a missing persons website and then its an action-drama-thriller-romance - its very exciting.

"The main thing is the journey that my character goes on. He’s a completely different person from the beginning of the movie to the end. I knew this movie would be a huge challenge for me."

FILMCLUB, who believe that watching a wide variety of films educates and inspires young people, asked co-star Lily Collins what her advice would be for youngsters considering a career in the film industry - either in front of or behind the camera.

She told the charity; "I always think about persistence. Myself, whenever I’m told 'No' I don’t take it as 'No, never' I take it as a 'Not right now.'

"So I think if you’re passionate about something and if that’s film, whether that’s behind the camera, in front of the camera, the mechanical side, technical side, the artistic side I think its really important to just keep going, and don’t let 'No' stop you."
