The Hangover II

The Hangover II

The Hangover Part 2 trailer has been pulled from U.S. cinemas after officials at the Motion Picture Association of America deemed the teaser too offensive to be aired before PG-13 films.

The trailer, featuring suggestive language and a taxi cab scene in which cast member Zack Galifianakis' character is splattered with pig's blood, was shown in theatres over the weekend (01-03Apr11) before Jake Gyllenhaal's new thriller Source Code, which is rated PG-13.

But censors have ruled the promo is too much for young minds, and they've decided to pull it.

Instead, The Hangover Part II trailer will now accompany the new R-rated Scream sequel, which hits U.S. cinemas on 15 April (11).

The movie sees Todd Phillips return to the director's chair with Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Zach Galifianakis reprise their roles of Phil, Stu, Doug and Alan.

The Hangover Part 2 is released 27th May.
