The Hangover

The Hangover

Comedy The Hangover is enjoying more box office success as it toppled Terminator Salvation from the number one spot in the UK.

The movie which has dominated the U.S. box office for the last fortnight grossed an impressive £3.1 million in it's opening weekend to further it's unexpected success.

Two days before his wedding, Doug and his three friends drive to Las Vegas for a blow-out bachelor party they'll never forget. But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can't remember a thing.

For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesars Palace. The one thing they can't find is Doug.

After two weeks on the chart Terminator Salvation had to settle for the number two spot  enjoying just one week at number one.

Also dropping one place was Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. All the top three movies broke the $1 million barrier.

Despite mixed reviews the remake of horror movie The Last House on the Left entered the chart at number seven while there was a new entry at eight for Looking For Eric.

The movie, which was included in the competition category at the recent Cannes Film Festival, sees Ken Loach return to the director's chair and Manchester United legend Eric Cantona to an English speaking movie.
