The Social Network has remained at the top of the U.S. box office, holding off tough competition from comedy Life As We Know It.
Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield star in the The Social Network, which tells the story of how Facebook was developed.
The movie took a further $15.5 million to stay in the number one spot for a second week.

The Town was down two places at six while Wall Street: Money Never Sleep also fell this week as it was down four places from three to number seven.
There was a three place drop for Easy A while Case 39 was the final new entry of the week in at number nine. This week's biggest faller came in the form of You Again, which was down four places at number ten.
