Tom Felton has revealed that the Harry Potter cast feared being replaced in the middle of the franchise.

Felton will return to the big screen this summer in the role of Draco Malfoy for the final time in Harry POtter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.

Felton, along with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have starred in the franchise but did fear being replaced.

Speaking to FelBelts the actor said: "We all feared that after the fourth film that they were going to get rid of us and start again with new kids. So yeah, we're very proud to have made it all the way through, so to speak."

The actor also revealed that he had also audition for the role of Ron during the casting process.

"You know, no-one could have done the jobs as good as Daniel, or especially Rupert, you know, comedic genius, but yeah!

"No doubt things would have been very different. I'm not sure I would have rocked the ginger hair as well as I did the blond.

"It's kind of a weird one because we auditioned for so many parts when we first went in there, and we had no idea how important that casting process actually was, and that in 11 years we were still going to be taking about it."

Deathly Hallows - Part 2 will bring the successful franchise to a close - however no Harry Potter movie has broke $1 billion at the box office.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 is released 15th July.
