Uma Thurman's role in the planned movie adaptation of children's classic Eloise In Paris is back on - she has settled a lawsuit with producers over the stalled shoot.

In 2008, bosses of HandMade Films signed the actress to star as the nanny in a movie version of the 1950s book, about a young girl who goes to Paris for Fashion Week.

However, Thurman hired lawyer Bert Fields in January (10) to sue the company for $9.6 million , claiming shooting had yet to begin on the picture and she had missed out on other work during that period.

According to industry publication Variety, the sides have now reached a settlement and the film is back on. Further details of the litigation had not been made public as WENN went to press.

A statement from Thurman reads, "I am delighted to begin a fresh relationship with HandMade Films and look forward to helping to bring Eloise to the big screen."

Uma Thurman was last seen on the big screen in Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief but has a whole host of projects in the pipeline.

She has already completed work on Bel Ami with Robert Pattinson and Ceremony and has Girl Soldier and Kill Bill Vol 3 on the horizon.
