Will Ferrell To Collect Humour Award

Will Ferrell is to receive the 2011 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
 
The actor, who has appeared in a string of movie hits including Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, The Other Guys, and Step Brothers, will be recognised among his peers at a gala ceremony in Washington D.C. on 23 October (11).
 
A number of celebrities will be on hand to salute Ferrell as he accepts the award, among them Jack Black, Paul Rudd, and Bridesmaids star and Ferrell's former Saturday Night Live colleague Maya Rudolph.

Ferrell has worked in TV this year in The Office but he does have some movie projects in the pipeline.

He has already completed filming on Casa de mi Padre and Time and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie and Southern Rivals is currently in pre-production.
