Ant-Man has been moved from an autumn 2015 release to a summer 2015 release.

The latest Marvel film will now hit the big screen 31st July 2015, which will come just weeks after the release of The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Age of Ultron is the second Avengers film and will bring to a close Phase Two of Marvel movies. So Ant-Man will have the honour of kicking off Phase Three as one of the summer movies not to miss.

The movie will see Edgar Wright back in the director's chair, in what will be the biggest movie of his filmmaking career to date.

After being behind films such as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Ant-Man will see the director tackle the big budget blockbuster for the first time; he has also penned the screenplay with Joe Cornish.

No cast has yet been announced nor has it been revealed is The Avengers: Age of Ultron will lead into Ant-Man in some way.

Filming is set to get underway on the film next year.

Phase Two has been kicked off in fine style with Iron Man 3 grossing over $1 billion at the global box office. Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Solider and Guardians of the Galaxy will all follow over the next twelve months.
