Benedict Cumberbatch has described his character of John Harrison as 'a kick ass warrior'.
The actor is the major new name on the Star Trek Into Darkness cast list and is set to be the villain in the movie.
And while he also calls Harrison a psychological terrorist it seems that Harrison is going to be a man who knows how to handle himself.
Speaking to Total Film the actor said: He's a psychological terrorist. He's someone who is incredibly motivated and has a reason and a purpose behind his actions, although those actions are pretty abhorrent.
He and Kirk both come at a power-structure problem, but from two very different angles. He's also a kick ass warrior."
John Harrison is not a character that was in the original Star Trek series and so there is a lot of mystery and excitement surrounding Cumberbatch's role.
Star Trek Into Darkness sees J.J. Abrams back in the director's chair while Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are back as Kirk and Spock.
It is set to be a busy year for Cumberbatch as we are also going to see him in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Twelve Years A Slave.
Star Trek Into Darkness is released 9th May.
