Bryan Singer has revealed that X-Men: Days of Future Past will look closely at the character of Magneto.
Singer returns to the an X-Men film for the first time since X2 and he says that having both Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellan playing the same character will really allow for an exploration of Magneto.
"Because I have both Ian McKellan and Michael Fassbender in the picture you will deal with both side of their point of view.
"It really explores the relationship between Xavier and Magneto, where it came from and where it is going."
Fassbender and McKellan are not the only familiar faces on the cast list as James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart will also be reprising the role of Professor X.
Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult are back while Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine.
Filming on X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to get underway later this year to hit the big screen in 2014.
