I am excited to see David Ayer back in the director's chair - he has brought us the likes of Fury and End of Watch in recent years and I can't wait to see him tackle a comic book film for the very first time.
We have already been treated to some fantastic ensemble cast movies so far this year... and Suicide Squad is going to be another as another great cast has been brought together.
Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and Viola Davis are just some of the names on board as they take on the roles of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Enchantress, Rick Flag, Captain Boomerang, and Amanda Waller.
However, it is Oscar-winner Jared Leto who possibly has the toughest job, as he takes over the role of the Joker. Leto follows in the footsteps of Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger and - like the two actors who have gone before - looks set to make this character his own. I am looking forward to seeing what he delivers.
We are also going to see Ben Affleck reprise the role of Batman in the film. Just how big a role he is set to play in the movie is still unknown.
