Deadpool has made it three weeks at the top of the UK box office, as it held off the challenge from Sacha Baron Cohen's new action-comedy Grimsby.

The movie broke the $500 million barrier at the global box office last week and took a further £3.9 million to hold on to the #1 spot and keep Grimsby at bay. Deadpool has now grossed over £31 million in the UK alone and is the most successful film of the year so far.

Grimsby was the highest new entry inside the top ten this week as the Sacha Baron Cohen opened at number two. Despite the box office success on its opening weekend, it is a movie that has failed to win over the critics.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip continues to perform well, slipping just a single place to number three. The movie has grossed over £14 million in the UK alone and is another successful instalment to the film franchise.

How To Be Single and Goosebumps also slipped a single place and finished the weekend at four and five.

The Forest was the second and final new entry as the horror film opened at number six. The movie marks the return of Natalie Dormer to the big screen as she takes on a double lead role.

The Revenant was the only film on the up this week as it jumped from eight to this week's number seven. It was a hugely successful weekend for the film, as Leonardo DiCaprio picked up a Best Actor Oscar for his central performance.

Dad's Army was a three place faller as it slipped from five to number eight. Zoolander 2 was also down as it finished the weekend at number nine; two spots down from last week's number seven.

But it is Triple 9 that is the biggest faller as the crime drama slipped four places to round off the top ten.
