Last week the movie surpassed the $500 million mark at the global box office and took a further $31 million in the U.S. to easily hold onto the #1 spot.

Gods of Egypt was the highest new entry inside the top ten this week, as it opened at number two - despite being critically mauled.

Gods of Egypt sees Alex Proyas back in the director's Knowing back in 2009, while Gerard Butler, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Brenton Thwaites make up an exciting cast list.

Kung Fu Panda 3 slipped a single place this week to number three, while Risen was also down one at four.

Eddie the Eagle and Triple 9 were the other two new entries inside the top ten this week, as they opened at five and six.

Eddie the Eagle is the third feature film for actor turned filmmaker Dexter Fletcher as he teams up with Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman for the first time. The movie has been winning over audiences and is being called one of the feel-good films of 2016 so far.

Comedy How to be Single fell out of the top five as it slipped two spots to this week's number seven.

Horror movie The Witch was this week's biggest faller as it slipped four places from four to number eight. Race was down three at number nine.

The Revenant rounded off the top ten as it slipped just a single place from last week's number nine.
