Justin Simien is set to make his feature film directorial debut with new comedy Dear White People.
Dear White People premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have released the brand new trailer:
A great young cast has been assembled for the film, as Tyler James Williams, Tessa Thompson, Teyonah Parris, Brandon P Bell and Kyle Gallner are all set to star.
Dear White People follows the stories of four black students at an Ivy League college where a riot breaks out over a popular "African American" themed party thrown by white students.
With tongue planted firmly in cheek, the film will explore racial identity in "post-racial" America while weaving a universal story of forging one's unique path in the world.
No UK release date has yet bee announced for the film.
