Elizabeth Banks says that Effie is one of her favourite characters that she has had the chance to play.
Banks landed the coveted role of Effie for The Hunger Games film series, a part we saw her return to when Catching Fire hit the big screen last year.
And Banks reveals that she has loved the chance to take on this role, and the transformation that she undergoes to play her.
Speaking to Extra, the actress said: "I love Effie. She's one of my favourite characters that I've ever played. She's just an incredible character.
"I really like the transformation. I like disappearing into her. I love that sort of 'A-ha moment' every morning when I'm sort of gone and in the mirror is Effie.
"She's one of the best characters that I've ever brought to a set. Everybody gets excited when Effie shows up on set."
Banks is currently filming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, the movie that will bring the popular series to a close in 2015.
Mockingjay - Part 1 is set to be released later this year, and is already one of the most anticipated films of 2014.
We are going to be seeing plenty of Banks this year, as she has already completed work on Walk of Shame, Love & Mercy and Every Secret Thing.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is released 21st November.
