With eight films in the Fast & Furious franchise, filmmakers have to up their game with every new release to the series. This year for the first time ever, a spin-off movie will be released with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw. Check out the first official trailer for Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw below:

Following their first face-off in 2015's Fast & Furious 7, Hobbs and Shaw will be forced to partner up in their titular movie in a bid to take down one man who may actually be badder than the two of them combined.

Idris Elba takes on the role of that man - cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton - and upon gaining control of a bio-threat that could alter humanity for good, it's a race against time to stop him from wreaking havoc across the globe.

Going from Los Angeles to London, and from the toxic wasteland of Chernobyl to the lush surroundings of Samoa, Hobbs & Shaw looks set to take audiences on a trip around the world.

Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw comes to cinemas across the UK on August 2, 2019.
