The world will be allowed a rare glimpse into the relationship shared by children’s author A. A. Milne (Gleeson) and his son Christopher Robin in the flick, where toys went on to inspire the world of Winnie the Pooh. Mother Daphne (Robbie) and nanny Olive (Macdonald) are swept up alongside the pair in the international success of Milne’s books, which inspire and bring hope to England following the tragic events of the First World War.

With the world’s eyes on the family however, could there be a huge cost to the family? A price they’ll have to pay for fame and fortune?

Stephen Campbell Moore, Richard McCabe, Alex Lawther, Nico Mirallegro, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Geraldine Somerville all also star, with Simon Curtis in the director’s chair. Frank Cottrell-Boyce and Simon Vaughan wrote the screenplay, with Damian Jones and Steve Christian as producers. Curtis and Vaughan also serve as executive producers.

Goodbye Christopher Robin hits cinemas across the UK on September 29, 2017.
