Guardians of the Galaxy is the #1 movie in the U.S. after returning to the top spot last week.

Guardians of the Galaxy took a further $16.3 million to hold off the challenge from former number one Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

It has been a great week for the latest Marvel film, after is passed $500 million at the global box office: making it one of the most highest grossing movies of the year.

There was also no move for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are two. If I Stay was the third none mover inside the top ten, as it hung on to the third spot.

As Above/ So Below was the highest new entry on the chart this week, as it opened at number four.

The adventure/horror film sees John Erick Dowdle back in the director's chair: he teamed up with his brother Drew to pen the screenplay.

Comedy Let's Be Cops was down a single place this week as it rounded off the top five.

The November Man - which stars Pierce Brosnan - was new at six, while When The Game Stands Tall was down two at five.

The Giver was the third and final new entry inside the top ten this week at eight. The movie is a big screen adaptation of the novel of the same name by Lois Lowry.

Phillip Noyce is back in the director's chair, while Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, Brenton Thwaites, Alexander Skarsgård, and Katie Holmes all star.

The Hundred-Foot Journey was a none-mover at nine, while The Expendables 3 was down at ten. The movie had dropped four places and was this week's biggest faller.
