Buress is one of a string of actors to have joined the Marvel/Sony film, which is filming right now.

And while Buress has not revealed his character's name he has talked a little about him.

Speaking during The Breakfast Club radio show, he said: "I play one of the dumbass characters that don't realize he's Spider-Man. He's Peter Parker. I'm just like... oh man, this guy's really athletic!"

Buress joins an all-star cast as Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, and Angourie Rice are just some of the names that are on board.

We met Holland's Spider-Man earlier this year in Captain America: Civil War, but this will be the first time that he has led a solo film for this iconic character.

Buress has enjoyed success this summer with animated film The Secret Life of Pets, in which he voiced the character of Buddy.

He has also completed work on The Masterpiece, The Comedian and Baywatch, which is a remake of the classic television show.

Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, and Priyanka Chopra are on the cast list while Seth Gordon is in the director's chair.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is released 7th July 2017.
