Elba has taken on the role of Heimdall in both Thor and Thor: The Dark World in recent years, but this will be the first time that we have seen him in an Avengers movie.

Hiddleston took on the villainous role of Loki in Avengers Assemble, and will also be involved in some way in the new and highly anticipated film.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Elba said: "I'm in Avengers. And I'm doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston and they're like, 'Aren't you [meant to be] in Ibiza?'"

Just how Elba and Hiddleston are going to fit into the story is unknown, but this one scene could well lead into the third Thor film, which is already on the horizon.

Hemsworth will reprise the role of Thor in Age of Ultron, alongside Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner.

Age of Ultron is set to be bigger and darker than the first film, and will come three years after Avengers Assemble broke $1 billion.

The movie went on to become the third highest grossing movie of all time, and remains Marvel's most successful film at the global box office.

We will be introduced to some new faces in Age of Ultron, as James Spader, Paul Bettany, Aaron Taylor Johnson, and Elizabeth Olsen will star as Ultron, The Vision, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is released 24th April 2015.
