Isla Fisher has heaped praise on her co-star Leonardo DiCpario says that he was the perfect choice to play Jay Gatsby.
Fisher is working with DiCaprio for the first time on The Great Gatsby, which is a big screen adaptation of the much loved F. Scott Fitzgerald novel.
The actress goes on to call the Oscar nominated star one of the best actors of his generation and they couldn't have cast anyone better.
Speaking to Access Hollywood the actress said: "Leo is the most perfect Jay Gatsby. He brings to it a childlike innocence.
"His obsession with Daisy doesn't feel mentally ill. It's just sort of passionate and misguided, but still romantic."
"Leo's fabulous in everything - he's one of the greatest actors of our generation.
"But he has gone further than you could ever have imagined with this character, and really made [Gatsby] so multi-dimensional, and so flawed and so vulnerable, and yet so macho and sexy - everything that you want in Gatsby."
Fisher is set to take on the role of Myrtle Wilson in the adaptation while Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire and Joel Edgerton are all also on board.
The Great Gatsby is the first film of the summer for Fisher as we will also be seeing her in Now You See Me.
