Jennifer Saunders says she is going to write an Absolutely Fabulous movie.

There has been a lot of talk of Eddy and Patsy being brought to the big screen over the years, but now it looks like the project is set to go ahead.

And while Saunders has enjoyed huge success with the TV series, she admits that she is nervous about returning to write a film script.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, Saunders said: "Yes, well I have to do it now because I've threatened to a lot," Saunders replied when asked about an Ab Fab movie.

"And then she [Joanna Lumley] kept announcing it and saying, 'Yes, she's going to do it,' and then Dawn French on our radio show at Christmas said, 'I bet £100,000 that you don't write it,' so now I have to write it, otherwise I have to pay her £100,000."

"It's like the second album syndrome. Once you've had a bit of success, the last thing you want to do is go and make a flop. So the biggest fear in me is that it won't be good enough. I'm really nervous about it."

Absolutely Fabulous came to the small screen for the first time back in the nineties, but returned for three special episodes to celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2012.
